Planting Flowers.

Evan and I spent yesterday and today in our yard. Although we're just renting, I want to have a nice yard so I put waaaaay too much work slash money into it. So we planted a million flowers (also misjudged 1. how many planters we had so we bought too many flowers 2. misjudged the size of the planters so 40 quarts of potting soil filled one planter. Whoops.), we dug up several trees that were basically crawling through our cement patio, and we cleaned up all the dead leaves and garbage our downstairs tenant likes to throw in our yard. Thanks, Jeremy!

I'm obsessed with pansies. I think they are so feminine and pretty. I bought practically a million in purples, oranges, and yellows (although the oranges and yellows were hiding during our photoshoot) and I think I might need to get some more.

6 loves:

  1. i bet everyone who lives in your complex appreciates that! You gotta love where you live, even if it's a temporary place

  2. So true! I always feel a little bit guilty when I buy stuff for this house that could probably not work for our future owned home. But you do have to love where you live because you've got to be happy. So thanks for those encouraging words. =]

  3. I wish I had somewhere to plant little beauties like these! I have one house plant in my apartment that my bf named him Chanticleer from Rock-a-doodle. Guess that's a close second... haha!

  4. At least you can have houseplants!!! We get no natural light because of huge trees and a covered patio. They block all our windows that could allow natural light in to help plants grow. I'm currently searching for plants that don't need a lot of light because I want to bring the outside in, desperately.

I want them! I'm happy you guys are making your yard awesome. We're going to have some good times out there this summer! <3
