family photos

tonight, evan and i took some new family pictures.  i came up with the genius idea that we should have family pictures taken this summer for our 2 year anniversary and then we looked at how much that costs, and after i puked about that, i realized that we don't need a photographer.  we have a camera.  a very NICE camera that i haven't used in a while and i got a tripod for Christmas and that's just as good as a photographer.

so we did it.  we finally took family pictures (that we've been saying we're taking for yearssss).  we had SO.MUCH.FUN. i know that evan bascially did it because i wanted to but it was just the perfect start to our last weekend. we turned on the timer and set it to take 10 pictures at once.  i definitely need to make some .gifs of the outtakes because evan was doing situation karate kicks and i was showin off my booty dancin skillz, yo.  we're on the fast track to friend making! wooh wooh!

    1. Girl. Do it. Or I'll come do it. Or come to Montana and I'll do it. =] haha it's so much fun! It's easier for us to be ourselves in front of the tripod and timer. I probably wouldn't like them as much if they were taken by a person telling us to hug and kiss and junk. I I hope you guys get to take pictures! <3

    1. Funny story about the tires: so it was probably like 7 o'clock at night and there is this flashing light as we're standing there. We thought it was lightening until it happened like 55 times. There was a time lapse security camera taking our picture for about 10 minutes! We didn't touch the tires but oh man. We could get arrested! Hahaha apparently they got pissed off the last time I took pictures here? Whoopsiedays. =]]]

Also thank you! It's one of my favorite go-to picture taking spots!

    3. Exactly! If they are worried about theives then they shouldn't leave tires out in the open like that! A camera is not going to deter me. Especially since I could run underneath it and it didn't detect me. Haha!

  7. Ok so I'm in love with these images and would loove to do something like this.. I seriously can't even tell that these were taken with a tripod! They came out super great! How do you set that timer to take pictures every few seconds? Did you have a remote? Oh my garsh! I need to do this now!!

    1. Aw! Thank you! That is so nice of you!!!

I have a Canon Rebel T3i and I have the ability to take normal pictures without the timer, to take one picture with the timer, or to set it to take up to 10 pictures with the timer. I don't have a remote, I just tell it to take 10 pictures and then 1 or 2 should be good out of those ten. It beats having to walk back and forth 659 times.
