I think any of us that went to the farm when we were younger remember the plastic tablecloth and the cool whip container of sunflower seeds, a bowl that never got empty as there were always more in the cupboard.
I remember riding the green tractor like a thousand times in the basement along with helping grandmas wash eggs. Hanging in the barn feeding the cows after they were in their stalls or feed milk to the calves...good times those were. Sometimes I wish grandpa and grandmas were still with us, to see how we have all grown and to meet their latest great grand children.
Sorry we missed seeing the 3 of you, hopefully next year!

Lisa :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6977860011108381024.post-68513218526303454142013-07-26T18:04:08.326-06:002013-07-26T18:04:08.326-06:00awww im gland you had the best time thereawww im gland you had the best time thereAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13053307177860793420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6977860011108381024.post-40038725064859482013-07-25T12:15:13.899-06:002013-07-25T12:15:13.899-06:00i'm so glad we got to come, too! and yes. i to...i'm so glad we got to come, too! and yes. i took like 30 pictures of us right there. they're so great!larisaahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11351138380491864542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6977860011108381024.post-66200281666922229752013-07-25T10:23:06.347-06:002013-07-25T10:23:06.347-06:00LOVE the picture of Evan and Maddox next to the co...LOVE the picture of Evan and Maddox next to the corn! That reminded me of the cabinet downstairs full of your or Dana's horses.

And seriously the sunflower seeds. Hahaha in the cool whip bucket! Oh man. So many good memories. I CANNOT wait for Brody and Maddox to run around like we did. Minus the scraps and bruises of course. =]larisaahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11351138380491864542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6977860011108381024.post-58097111631548939762013-07-24T15:58:01.615-06:002013-07-24T15:58:01.615-06:00Sounds like an absolutely enchanting childhood! This even made me tear up a little remembering all the things we did as kids and missing Grandma and Grandpa and wishing that I was old enough to appreciate their lessons and stories while they were still around. {...The sunflower seeds on the napkin on the plastic table cloth made me giggle} :)
And remember tiddly winks and chinese checkers and memory and puzzles! And all of Grandma's frozen candy bars and all of us having to share a pop when we wanted one and instant coffee...I could go on! Thank you for this post, it made my day :)

And I'm glad I got to meet and snuggle Maddox.
